Limelight Terms and Conditions
UNIFORM
All pupils are
required to wear the correct Limelight uniform for their chosen
class.
All uniform can be purchased through us on receipt of an order form and
cheque made payable to 'Limelight Academy of Performing Arts'.
We ask that you do not buy your uniform from other stockists unless
approved by us as it is quite often the wrong shade of colour or
slightly different.
Hair MUST be in a bun for ballet or secured with a hair band if the hair
is too short. Please ask the class teacher for advice if you are unsure
of how to do a bun. A neat and tidy high ponytail is allowed for all
other classes including Theatre Class. NO SCRUNCHIES OR EXTRA HAIR
ACCESSORIES PLEASE. Once issued all children must wear the correct
uniform to participate in the class.
PAYMENT POLICY
Invoices will be
posted to you prior to the start of each term and
must be paid promptly within two weeks of the invoice date. Late payment
will result in an administration charge of £10.00 being added to your
invoice total. Persistent late payment will result in your child being
excluded from class and eventually after all efforts have been made to
recover the amount due we will take legal action.
All cheques should be made payable to 'Limelight Academy of Performing
Arts'.
Cash must be sent in an envelope with your child’s name and class on the
front, please make sure this is for the correct amount as none of the
Limelight staff carry cash to school and are unable to administer
change.
We can only accept cheque and cash as payment.
Any cheques
returned to us from the bank as unpaid will be subject to an
administration charge of £10.00.
NOTICE PERIOD
We require 1 Term's notice if you wish to leave and you will be charged
accordingly.
In the absence of such notice fees for the next term will be charged in
full.
FREEDOM PASS
We have a pass that allows you to attend as many classes per week as you
wish. You may come to any of our centres and can take classes in any of
the following faculties; Modern, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Body
Conditioning and Theatre class. The pass is for the named person only
and costs £450.00 per term.
BALLET
Ballet is the foundation of all forms of dance and requires a great deal
of training to reach the high exam standards. Children from Grade 2
upwards wishing to take exams should attend Ballet twice a week.
Please be aware that if you are unable to attend two ballet classes a
week you will take a lot longer to progress through the grades.
OFFICE HOURS
Office hours are 9.30am-3.00pm and we ask you to call during these hours
with any queries unless there is an emergency. We know we are not always
available due to teaching commitments but please leave a message and we
will contact you as soon as possible.
SUMMER SHOW
Our summer show is a major event in the school calendar and we dedicate
the summer term to working on it.
You will be sent rehearsal schedules and details months in advance and
we ask you to read and consider everything before returning your consent
forms.
Children will be expected to attend all rehearsals unless they are ill.
We try to keep rehearsal time to a minimum especially for our younger
cast members. It is a great and exciting event for everyone and a very
rewarding experience.
CAREERS IN PERFORMING ARTS
We may approach you if we think your child shows particular promise or
talent and similarly you must inform us at an early stage if your child
expresses a wish to have a career in performing arts. The reason we need
to know early on is that there are many different factors to be taken
into consideration when training potential professional dancers and
actors. We need to discuss and advise on dance classes that should be
taken, school subjects, diet and image, and financial implications etc.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
We have an open door policy when it comes to complaints and we would
like you to talk to us about any queries or grievances that may arise so
that hopefully we can rectify them as quickly as possible. All
complaints should be directed to the Principal either in writing or by
phone.
