Ballet Classes
Ballet
is the foundation for all forms of dance, building a strong, lean body
needed for all dance genres. It is excellent for improving poise, flexibility,
performance quality and grace.
Children can join this class from age two and a half years upwards. At this young age much care is taken not to put any unnecessary pressure on the joints and muscles and classes centre on imagination, musicality and fun interpretation whilst gaining the fundamental steps and movements of ballet.
Once
the level of technique has been achieved children will take their exams
and proceed onto the next grade. The discipline of ballet can have benefits
in a variety of ways, not only can it help to build a strong body and
good posture but can help to develop imagination, determination and
self confidence.
