We teach ballet within our dance school because it is the foundation for all forms of dancing, helping to build a strong, lean body needed for all dance genres. Ballet is an excellent way for improving poise, flexibility, performance quality and grace.
Ballet lessons – for all ages
Children can join this class and learn to dance from the age of two and a half years upwards. At this young age much care is taken not to put any unnecessary pressure on the joints and muscles and our dancing lessons centre on imagination, musicality and fun interpretation whilst gaining the fundamental steps and movements of ballet.
Once the level of technique has been achieved in their ballet lessons, children will take their dancing exams and proceed onto the next grade. Throughout their training with us the students will have exciting opportunities to perform in shows, festivals and auditions should they wish to.
The discipline of ballet can have benefits in a variety of ways, not only can it help to build a strong body and good posture but can help to develop imagination, determination and self confidence.

We offer dancing classes for all ages in a number of forms within the academy. These include tap, modern, hip hop dance and street jazz, as well as our popular ballet lessons. In addition to these dance classes we also offer a Saturday theatre school, which concentrates on other areas of performing arts such as drama and singing.
The teachers within our dance school are always on hand with advice and encouragement to help every pupil reach their full potential.
