Step into the Limelight...
Limelight Academy of Performing Arts was established in 1996 with a
clear aim of providing quality Performing Arts training in a friendly,
professional and nurturing environment. Limelight has grown to encompass
different centres across the Berkshire / Surrey borders whilst maintaining
its initial aims. Its carefully selected and highly qualified staff
have provided excellent training to hundreds of students, helping to
realise career dreams or simply enabling them to have fun performing.
Today, Limelight provides a wide range of classes to suit all ages,
abilities and experience. These classes range from Ballet, Tap and Modern
to Musical Theatre, Singing and Hip hop.
The Performing Arts
Expressing yourself through dance, drama or singing can develop a self
awareness and understanding that will lead to increased self confidence.
To perform on stage is the dream of many and at Limelight we believe
that with the right encouragement and training these dreams can become
reality. We know that sometimes there is too much to choose from. However,
our teachers are there to give guidance, help make choices and of course
spot and nurture talent to reach its potential.
Ethos
Having come from a strong dancing background herself and with over 10
years experience in teaching, Limelight's Principal Victoria Amey believes
that every person is unique and should be given the encouragement to
reach their full potential. To learn the art of dance and drama can
be an exciting and rewarding experience but also very challenging both
mentally and physically. The support therefore offered within the Academy,
nurturing and advising pupils is very important and will continue throughout
their time with us.
