Limelight Academy of Performing Arts was established in 1996 with a clear aim of providing quality Performing Arts training in a friendly, professional and nurturing environment.

Initially created as a dance school providing dance classes in Chertsey, Limelight has now grown to encompass theatrical classes and dance schools which are ideal for pupils from the areas near Bracknell, Wokingham, Ascot and Chertsey.

Our carefully selected and highly qualified members of staff have provided excellent training to hundreds of students, helping them to realise career dreams or simply enabling them to have fun performing through dance classes and lessons in the performing arts.

Today, Limelight Academy dance school provides a wide range of dance lessons to suit all ages, abilities and experience, which range from ballet classes, tap, modern and hip hop dance to musical theatre, drama and singing. Please take a look at our timetables to find out days and times of classes.

Expressing yourself through dance, drama or singing can develop a self awareness and understanding that will lead to increased self confidence.

To perform on stage is the dream of many and at Limelight we believe that with the right encouragement and training these dreams can become reality.

We know that sometimes there is too much to choose from - whether to take singing classes, dance lessons, or to learn to act. However, our teachers are there to give guidance, help make choices and of course spot and nurture talent to reach its potential. Limelight has a large number of pupils from Bracknell, Wokingham, Ascot and Chertsey areas.

Having come from a strong dance background herself (Graduating from Laine Theatre Arts) and with over 15 years experience in teaching in the dance academy, the principal of Limelight, Victoria Amey believes that every person is unique and should be given the encouragement to reach their full potential.
